Conway's Anatomy of The Ship. Yamato and Musashi.
« on: August 21, 2017, 08:56:27 am »

I've just received the new version of the Conway's Anatomy of the Ship - Yamato  Anyone familiar with the original will know that the book contains very many scale line drawings of the ship in question and photographs.  The new improved version is just that it contains many of the original drawings and in many cases improved version of same.  It ties these in with very good quality colour computer renderings.  I'm hoping that the rest of the AOTS series is going to get the same makeover as the new Yamato book is a pleasure to read and browse. My only quibble is the photos that are included have been "colourized" but it's not a major problem.  I've included a snap of some of the renderings.  Anyone who is thinking of building Yamato or her sister ship will need this book and anyone who likes naval subjects or Imperial Japanese Navy ships will want it.
