well I have brought a ford escort, just have to get the insurance docs then i can go and tax it to PLG, currently has disabled tax on it, buy i do have wheels now

Hi all, having got back from holiday (and catching a lurgy the day after...) I've now finished the Big Red boat which was pretending it was complete at Wicksteed and will be giving it it's first bath at Llanberis. It hasn't been on the water yet, but I'm hoping for great things

Self, wife and caravan will be arriving about 11am Sat (can't set off Friday) so don't finish all the playing before I get there

Just been down to the Lake this afternoon and met up with some very nice Mayhemers Namly Steamboat Phil,Stavros and Gandalf they are set up and looking fwd to the event.Stavros was very laid back and Phil was up to his neck in cables,so goodness knows what he was trying to do.I think he muttered something about what FLJ calls Welsh Electricity so lord help the traders.

Glad to here the boys are doing a good job of setting up the site. As for cable related matters. I have just passed my 17th edition of the electrical regs. I will be doing an inspection of the wiring to see if it passes. However I could very well be side tracked when i get my 1st tin of Fosters. It may have to wait till Monday.
Oh well best finish off the packing. Up at 4.30 am and off by 5.00.

hi , just got back from mayhem. great show despite wet wet wet wet wet yes i think it was raining. but great show by traders and big thanks to you for organising such a great event looking forward to next year. did clear up after dinner and did some sailing.

hi .sorry if i have said the wrong word .but as i said when i arrived it was mayhem all the traders where wet through seting up there stalls which meant there was just mayhem figure of speach. again many thanks to all who organised this boat rally to many to name, three cheers to you, posted on model boat rally

Well what a week, i finally got down to llanberis, saturday with the barby, and the fosters started to flow.

by Saturday morning, I had a flooded tent, and a stiffish neck but that didnt stop play. It was nice to meet new membrs and shoot some video, that will be going up soon

by 11-30am, the weather had dried up and things started to get going. a big thanks To Marshall for allowing me to use one of his boat storage cases for storing my boats on during the day

through out the day, the wind played havoc, however come 9pm, wind, what wind, the gods had turned off the fans just as they did when they turned off the rain. this meant that Nord icelandia could come out of the dock and sail. Young@65 has his creole queen and that was impressive, complete with jazz orchestra!

great week-end great company thanks to all who organized and ran it well worth the 500 mile round trip.............big problem got to go back left a boat and tranny there .......think it;s called a senior moment ( leaving the boat there not the name of the boat )

Whopps!!! Yes we petrol heads had a good weekend. The 1st challenge was to drink all the Foster's that Ghost brought. We did do the 30 cans before bedtime on Friday with the rest there helping out.
Now then. Dose anyone have any video or photo's of my Hydroplane???? It was going so well then the throttle servo died at 1/3 power which meant it wasn't going to stop. I decided to give it a soft ish run into the bush on the bank. This did stop it but the prop and rudder now need replacing. Ho hum it was got to see it fly.
