Hello All:
Anybody have a Robbe F-14 Navy Marine Radio, would like input one way or the other.
Specs really look good for what I need,any reliability,or functioning,or program quirks.

I recently acquired one, am very impressed with it. Since getting it I have expanded to 8 channels with slider and 3 way switches - easy to do.

I have only used it in the garage for testing so far, but so far so good.

My only quibble is that you have to open the tx to change the crystal, that said, its easy and quick.

Very happy with mine. I too have expanded my basic set with additional switches. I found the process easy and effective.

I have also invested in one, second hand admittedly, but I am having problems finding the boat mounted Multi Switch 8 decoder.
I have Multiswitch-prop modules and that works well.
The Multiswitch 16 seems to available still.

I was lucky enough to find the F14 Navy with the twin stick throttle controls.

Try contacting Robbe Schluter UK - they import the sets. sales@robbeuk.co.uk should find them. Either that or give Westbourne Models a ring; they advertise the full range of F14 add-ons.

I have nightmares wondering how many fingers and thumbs you need on your left hand to be to operate those twin sticks..........

hi there. You asked if the F14 is any good. It depends on your needs.
If you need more that 4 properational channels then this is the set for you as you can expand it so it can control 22 functions i think . If you only need 4 properational channels then you might want to think about 2.4GH as with these there is not the hassle of having to change a Christel if some one is on your frequency. My self i do have a old f14 and think it is good.

The "F14" has two sticks, the "F14 Navy" has three sticks (hence the addition of "Navy" to the name").  The two sticks in the same slot on the right are intended for twin engine control in boats. There is a little catch in the top of the sticks which permits them to be locked together so that they can be operated as one when, say, both engines need to be accelerated or retarded, simultaneously.

As far as I am aware all the add ons continue to be available from Robbe.

The F-14/F14Navy is not a computer radio so no programability at all. A better bet would be to get the FC-16 (F-14 with a computer) and get the twin stick module separately.

Or go for the FX 18

I'm not sure but I think you can fit the twin stick unit i the FX  and on either side.
