AWVS  appears to have left the forum.  Maybe Wilhelm is on site under a different name.  We can only hope.

Thanks Ken. I think he's over in RC Groups. I'll look for him there.

Hi all,
I wasn't aware that anybody missed me.  :-)  I am still a member here, but I haven't built any new model for some time now.
Anyway, Bill contacted me and I try to be a little more active in the MBM forum.
Best to all of you.

Hi Ken,
thanks, no, right now there is nothing in the pipeline. I haven't even finished the daughter boat for the SAR's boat Bermpohl. There is just to much other stuff going on. I am still thinking about the "Maggie M" or the "Yorkshireman".
What project are you working on?
Regards

Thanks for updating this - I started one of these years ago - this may get it kick started again!
Great looking build - your photos will help.

@Dave
thanks.
@Mike
MS produced a great kit (as always) with the Tsekoa II. If you need any detail-pictures let me know.

My Tsekoa kit should arrive in a week or so, so I'll try to give updates on the project as it progresses. I can only hope though that it will turn out as well as Wilhelms! Cheers.

I agree Dave, it's a magnificently detailed model and well worth a look at the build.

It's good to see you back here too Wilhelm O0  Your Tsekoa is a joy to behold  :-))

I did not think it was that long since you have been on here Wilhelm. It is not long since you finished the Fairmont Alpine  & you made a lovely job of that one too. Keep it up we need more of your builds on the forum & welcome so back. Mick B.

Thanks to all for the "welcome back" but I was never really gone, I just took a bigger break from model boat building.  {:-{ As I said before, I hope to finish the daughter boat for the "Bermpohl" this summer and look forward to do some nice runs with my current models. :-))

Hi John, we are still waiting for spring to arrive. The snow around the house is a foot high and it is probably the same in your area. I hope everything is fine with you and yours. How is it going with your Happy Hunter?
Kind Regards

  I got looking at the Happy Hunter. It needs a bit of TLC on one side of the hull. In the meantime I picked up a Tsekoa kit from an estate, so thinking of yours, I started working on that and I'm also doing a build thread on Caldercraft's Joffre.
  We just did a mall show yesterday that was very successful. Some of the lads from Hamilton came up.

Question guys: I know that some of you have added a bow thruster to the Tsekoa kit but did the original vessel actually have one? I didn't see one listed in its specs.. Cheers.

Have a look at this

http://worldmaritimenews.com/archives/48814/canada-research-ship-tsekoa-ii-undergoes-refurbishment/

It was moored out at Ocean Sciences at Pat Bay and I managed to get photos a few years ago. Not sure where it is now but going through changes.

Yeah thanks Mike. I've seen that refurb pic of the Tsekoa with an obvious bow thruster installed. Still not sure if the 1984 built model had one though. {:-{

Hi Bill,
according to my available documentation: the 1984 version of the Tsekoa II  was not equipped with a bow thruster.
