Hello,

  Here is a project that I'd like to introduce. It is a fishing boat that my eldest son Yohann who is  fisherman and me are currently developing.
Yohann have a dream, to create his company and to build a trawler. Since the time he talks about it (it is based), I told him:

- Establishes a set of specifications that you put me up for information of all kinds, and with all that you have issued demands I will make you a project. "

So, towards the drawing board,

Detail of the main specifications principal:

- A vessel less than 16m.
- Large power traction.
- Pitch propeller.
- 3 winches.
- 4 winches trawl.
- A crane.
- Wellhouse functional.
- Ability to have standing under the winches trawl when you are on the main deck.


After some time to study, first traits. As I said above, the development of the boat was done in consultation. I showed to Yohann what I drew, he gave me his opinion, and is kept on, it improved, or on again.
He did not many years of experience behind him, it is only 8 years he sailed, but he embarked on a many different vessels, and it reveals several types of buildings and facilities. As for me, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in my industrial drawing and naval architecture books.
Here is the project we have developed. Registration is fanciful, in fact it is the date of birth of Yohann. However, the colors of the boat are made to him.

So the design is done, but not only! Indeed, plans to form the vertical and are also made, with 32 frames spaced 500mm for real (33.3 mm for the model), but also the details of the bridge, bridge work, upper deck, wellhouse, locations and fittings for into a boat 15M98.

And with all this, I'll start with a model sailing to 1/15čme (Length 1M05) with a controlable pitch propeller (I will make it). This model will be built as trawler VIVALDI, with aluminum.

I'll post pictures and commentary throughout the build of the model

The prototype designs have changed somewhat. The vessel was lengthened to 1 meter. Here is the latest version:
The assembly began with the well house. It is made of aluminum 0.75mm.



Next step, the interior.

He means how do you join the pieces of aluminium together.

I join the pieces of aluminium together with industial neoprene glue. This glue is used to assemble all materials on steel. It has two components that must be mixed.
