Drumbeat of Devon

Hi all,

Does anyone have any up to date pictures of the real vessel, i am trying to get a colour match on the Hiab crane, i see some that have built the model have painted it off white and some yellow, on a picture i saw it looked black???

I could go down to the harbour and take a few pictures if you'd like, I live in Brixham. Nice walk out on the breakwater,

Hi Rob,

We were down two weeks ago but i couldnt see off the breakwater as the Hiab had a cover over, coming down to Upton park camp site this weekend so will have another stroll over..... oh by the way, whats the weather like  :-))

Hi Russ,

Its been great, but they are calling for some thunderstorms, remember Glastonbury is this weekend.
I know Upton campsite. I'm 10 minute walk from there.

Whilst building Slipways Drumbeat i have made some trips up close to the real thing and took some close ups, there have been a few changes since the kit was developed such as the railings/stanchions are all black, the self-righting frame on the RIB is now a red colour and the Hiab is a creamy white colour, i have quite a few close ups if anyone is building the same....

Well took the Drumbeat for sea trials this morning, ran exceptionally well with the two Graupner 600,s on 6volt, got up on the plane no problem, just a few more details to be added...
