Well done on acquiring a Victoria!   I have one with a Cheddar Gemini fitted.   WRT boating lakes in Kent I suspect that there are several; the one that I kbnow of specifically is Mote park in Maidstone. there is a club based there

that's a puffin have you got one of the burner end of the boiler to see the type of boiler it is, that is a great boat to get in to steam with a quick clean and oil and get some test done steaming it  , don't forget don't fill the tank in the boat that's why they have a Knurled nut and O ring all the seals are available if you need them they are very cheap and ONLY USE STEAM OIL.

I would say NO if it has not been run and don't think of using WD40 on it just to turn it over  it kills the O rings get some steam oil and give it a  clean, wash the boiler out with hot water in case there is any debris in it from building, if you take the engine apart you have to mark everything caps cylinders etc so they go back exactly as they came apart as the surfaces will be worn to each other even with a short test run.sorry yours is a Pelican not a puffin I always mix them up I have both but still get them mixed up.

I am SO glad you won that boat. I kept looking at it and was tempted to bid several times, but did not fancy the drive to Essex from North Somerset!

I would suspect that you will need O rings for the boiler and possibly some for the pistons in the engine too. Be very careful when you first turn the engine over, if the piston O rings have stuck, you don't want to spread material all over the bores.

You have an extremely good buy there. Bit of a clean and some steam oil and you will get years of service.

Have fun.
