As always superb workmanship. One way to make oars is to use styrene rod and simply squeeze flat in a smooth jaw vice. Too much and it looks like a paddle but its easy to do and very quick and takes about 3 seconds to make an oar.


In theory this should work with aluminium or even copper assuming you can get enough pressure.

I have had success with taking a light hammer to brass wire to make miniature oars and trimming each end to make them equal.

[/size]In fact they do, its only a question of noting how far you push the vice lever, the rod material is entirely consistent so the "squash" factor being the same produces identical oars. Not tried it with metal but the process should be the same.
