FREE TO A GOOD HOME
« on: September 10, 2010, 11:27:26 pm »

I have in my possession -

1x 1:32 scale APS Models "Freemantle"  GRP Hull. Along with the hull will be a set of plans and a CD containing many photos of the 1:1 version to assist in scratch building a model. The GRP hull is approximately 1300mm LOA and although I do have the running set props, shafts, P brackets etc, I will be keeping these (cost me a packet).

So, if you are willing to pay freight  and can provide a  reason why you should have it - then its yours :-)) Start posting

Wow, would love to say yes but I fear that I have to many projects already, fantastic offer though. Now if it happened to be a Huon class Minehunter I would have said yes, damn the other projects :D

Hi Martin doon under
I have been undecided whether to build a Freemantle or Armidale so maybe you have made up my mind for me.
I already have the 1:24 plans from "Float a boat" in Wantirna but any more would be welcome.
How much to post to Melbourne?
Thanks B6

Unfortunately Australia Post will only deliver packages with maximum length  of 105cm - the grp hull is 130cm long so it cannot be posted - freight companies only.

Actually, this is the second hull that is about to be given away as the first one, an HMAS Armidale hull will be on its way to the  UK in a week or so. The lucky recipient received a one year's membership to Task Force 72 to help with the build which will hopefully be on the forum :-))

Wish I had a better reason then "WOW! That would be cool to build!" A nice offer and I hope who ever gets it will post the build log on here for us all to see!

Well Martin,

I have been dudded so far by two overseas hull suppliers to the tune of more than $2k...... Apart from my scratch building Slava, I still don't have a hull <:(

whilst I did not command a Freemantle class, I did command an Attack boat whilst we had Freos in the squadron.

Can't compete with driving by to pick up though.

Tico,

Which hulls are you missing or trying to get hold of. I have a Type 22, Batch 3 hull here on permanent hold. Beautifully made Fleetscale hull with Sitek running gear....

I figure by the time I finish my Battleship fleet along with a couple of tugs and a Burke, don't expect to be alive to complete the T22.

Hi Martin,

I have ordered and paid for a 1/48 scale HMS Clyde, complete with fittings, but after many months, no sign. I have ordered and paid for a 1/96 Ticonderoga and fittings, but after even more months, still no sign.
