Mobile Marine Open Day At Kirklees Model Boat club

Kirklees Model Boat Club will be hosting the Mobile Marine Open Day on 30 May 2011 At Wilton Park Batley. Tug towing events, static displays and on the water displays and visiting clubs. More information to follow in the New Year. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Mobile Marine Models 'OPEN'

MMM ' OPEN 2011' .... Monday ( Bank holiday ) May 30th. 10am start .......... hosted by Kirklees MBC

The 'OPEN' ....... an annual event, traditionally held on the Monday of Spring Bank Holiday ( the old Whit Monday), and hosted by a different club each year, first started back at the old factory of MMM, some nineteen years ago... and time flies !!!!... The 'Open' is a club orientated event that includes the individual modeller, .. with trophies for Best Boat; Best Newcomer; Best Club Stand, etc., etc., .. & not forgetting the converted Club Trophy ........ Bring Your boat(s)... & table & Chairs !!!..... Everyone Welcome.............

Just a short note to confirm the event is still on.  Not sure of the number of clubs that are going to attend but feel free to come along.  Trophies will be given by Mobile Marine for the following:- Newcomer, novelty, junior, on the water display and the mariner trophy.  We also hope to have tug towing on the day and Mobile Marine will be displaying some of his model tugs.  Start time will be around 9.30 a.m. to around 4 p.m.  Refreshments available. Free car parking.  Event to be held at Kirklees Model Boat Club, Wilton Park, Birstall, Batley WF17 8JH.  See Club website should you need to contact me.

Nice pictures of the Lady Wooes. Who was the builder please. Has he done a build blog on her ?   :-))

I got my part kit down from the loft today to see what was in the kit.  Seems I only have the hull and several sheets of 'Plywood'.  I understand there is more to purchase if I go on. At least the drawings and instructions are there.
