If it works for you fine. My experience bears out the "stay with the supplied aerial length" school of thought.

BobF, No I'm not at Skipsea this year SWMBO didn't decide on her May schedule until it was too late. Next year maybe.

Interesting about "slot" antennas. Does anyone remember the TV aerial you could make out of a gallon oil can with a hole or two cut in it?
