Boiler forced draught fan
« on: March 09, 2011, 03:38:42 pm »

Hi Mayhemers,

Has anyone tried a forced draught fan on their boilers to increase the combustion efficiency and hence increase the steam output?

Think the question was brought up re cooling the "Engine room", suggested one of the CPU type cooling fans but ensuring that the fan sucked cool air in rather than hot air out. Some of the torroidal types may help.

Hi,

See the "Flash steam plant control" thread on the results of using a fan.
