Anyone seen the new stuff from 'Fly Cam'. As the name suggests its for flyers really. I will later install a camera on my U-boat ideally wireless, and sent to small screen monitor. Lots of stuff on e-bay, and the prices are very different these days. Probably because of the new HD better quality updates. I was thinking about getting one of them new Kodak waterproof video cameras; it would take good video (seen loads on you-tube), but it's not wireless. The best is to have a small monitor and you are then master of your craft. Fly Cam have now some visiionary glasses. Although this stuff costs a fortune for the moment. Anyone done some successful wireless camera + DVR installs? I appreciate 2.4 frequency won't pass underwater. I was thinking of a snorkle anyway for this. What i'd like to see would be reasonable image quality of the camera. Waterproofing is easy. Any ideas videos to share?

I put a 2.4 ghz camera on my tank a couple of years back fed back to my laptop image was good but range was limited and picture would jump around if anybody interrupted the signal by standing in the way not you would would have that problem on water hope this helps

Don't forget
2.4GHz is a no no underwater
Most of the gear for flycams is on 2.4
Don't spend your money until you are sure it's ok for submarines.

The problem is refraction of waves from the surface of the water, it seems to work fine transmitting from underwater to surface from what I've heard...

I have just done a upgrade on my mate's Severn class lifeboat. He was running a 2.4 set-up for quite some time but we where getting interference from the new 2.4 transmitters. He is now running with a 5.8Ghz system which we got from http://www.firstpersonview.co.uk/ the transmitter is of the 25mw power which is the limit for the UK without a licence. It works very well with a range of about 350 Meters.

You need to be aware that a lot of the stuff on ebay and from over seas has a higher power output than is allowed in the UK without a licence.

If you want to record the pictures look for an MP4 recorder you can get them of ebay for about £45

Caswell do an under water kit for a camera .. Not sure of it's spec though !!!
