Yes CCAD2, I agree, it is fabulous. I see you have been on the Fairey Owners Club site too. That is where I got the detail from for my model. I also used their site to download the bow badges and make stickers. Haven't seen many models with bow badges on so far and I always make a bee-line for any Huntsman I see at a show.
Have fun'
Ian.

Didn't AMC have a fire a while back. If so then I wonder if they had to replace the tooling for the Perkasa or Huntsman?

Mine had it's first run last night.
Its got a Graupner Speed 700Turbo with two 7.2 3000mhr sticks, and a 44mm brass prop ('cos I had one).
Any thoughts on the right size prop....(35mm?)
Thanks
Frank

Hi all
I bought a part built 47" Huntsman  and it went together very well. This was my second kit I have built but was pleased with the wood, and other items in the kit. Although from experience I always use resin and tissue inside on all bulkheads and frames where the ply skins come into contact with them. I didn't manage to fit out the model with R/C or an engine as I had to sell the model. The model was one of the old ones as the instruction sheets refered to fitting a Cyclone engine.(Iforget the other one mentioned) It came up lovely when painted and the chap's eyes popped when he seen her. He couldn't give me the money quick enough. I will seek out another old kit and keep it this time.
You all should know that you won't get the quality of bygones years now a days.  :(

Hi Cad2,

If I remember rightly didn't you used to have two beautiful versions of this or was it the swordsman. The memory has started to go, not sure if it was the Janneau that did it ;)

Speaking of buying another Huntsman.  :D

What would be the motor and prop arrangement and  the run times on the 47 inch model ? (electric not I.C.)  ???

Just seen this Huntsman up for auction on E-Bay item No.180014119131

Hi CAD2 and all others interested in the Huntsman 31,

I am in the process of building a model of the afore said model.
It is of the old kit provided by Modav. It was given to my dentist by the orignal owner {as his wife had declared that too much of his time was being taken up with his @$#%@!!! boats}  my dentist turn gave it to me.
The original plan and instructions were still with it and as CAD2 will agree these were of first class quality but they were not done with a CAD program but inthe tried and true method of "pencil on paper" and type setting for the "words and music".It is coming along well but the age of the wood in proving a few bending problems. Incedently CAD2 the "Swordsman" is almost finished!
