help with my perkasa
« on: March 11, 2007, 05:21:42 pm »

Hi I am building my first scale boat and in need of some help I am normally into fast electrics.  Its the 37" president perkasa and attach a photo and want to know what the item is between the deck hatch and the torpedo.  There seems to be a few of them on the deck but can't make out what they are.  Any detailed deck photos you have would also be appreciated and can mail to jcollier@blueyonder.co.uk.  All help greatfully received as I am not up on scale.

Thanks

Seeing as you obviously cant read the writing on the original thread perhaps you should go to spec savers.  It reads and I quote " want to know what the item is between the deck hatch and the torpedo."

Now if you look on the photo you will see between the torpedo and deck hatch something that looks like an upturned tin can, a ventilator perhaps?   ???

hi ya there micknjen

I have the 1:72 Tamiya instructions for the Perkasa plastic kit - and in the back there is a list of different bits, pieces, parts....and if you wish I could scan thisin for you and send it to you via email? There are 16 pages so I would need to send it over say 4-5 emails so I dont clog your inbox up.  ;D

and while we're on the subject - what are those rack type things on the foredeck each side of the gun? the Precedent drgs show them but give no clue what they are.

Rope cages, I guess again

there ain't anywhere to spool them around and a loose rope getting wrapped round [around] the props at speed
with a following enemy don't bare thinking about. Tug

hI there Micknjen

Ive emailed you the Tamiya instructions for the perkassa.   I know this is a plastic kit, but, it may help you identify some parts and even help you construct some.   Anyway, hope it helps, if it hasnt blocked your email box up.

The rack type things are 40mm ammo box holders, so the boxes don't go sliding off the deck while the boat is manouvering.
 I hope this helps.
