PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS PROGRAMME - BBC
« on: February 06, 2012, 09:04:06 pm »

Hi I wonder did anyone see the programme tonight on BBC - 'Put your money where your mouth is' - I think its called where one of the antique dealers purchased a model yacht and on the boat stern it had

CMBC - Minstrel - does anyone recognise this yacht or know the previous owner of her?

When you see experts fail so miserably on a subject where you actually know something, you start to wonder just how much pure BS they are spouting the rest of the time on the subjects where you can't claim any knowledge.
In this case "1960s pond yacht" = "IOM" (therefore earliest is late '80's).  Still a nice boat, value was probably OK depending on what it was fitted with - it lacked rigging.
I just hope it was legitimately on sail, if it was carrying a logo indicating "CMBC" then it should be eminently traceable.

Most so called experts are merely presenters. Behind them is a team of researchers. Time is money so often a research is not done well. So called then expert sprouts garbage. John

Oh well the power of the pen has no feeling for the meaning of the way its meant  (I think  :embarrassed:)
