I have had this boat for some time now.
So i think it time to get it made and on the water.
This one of the top quality model boat hull from Models By Design
I have been making the rudders and runing gear.
The runing gear and motors and esc,s are fitted and tested.
Not to bad for 4hours work.

Hi,back to work on the Revenge today.
I have got some new brushless motors and esc,s from hobbyking to try out.
The best bit is that they are from Hobbyking uk so no import charges.
You also get them in 48hours of ordering,but the best bit is the price and quality.

Hi everyone,just up from the workshop.
Had a good day,and got lodes done.
I have fitted the new brushless motors,and Esc's
Right now for the info you are all waiting for.
From hobbyking uk
The brushless motors are:
Model:NTM Prop Drive Series 3542 1000kv
Max Power:450W @ 12v (3S) / 700W @ 15v (4S)
The price £13.70 each
The Esc's are:
HobbyKing 50A Boat ESC 3A UBEC
Constant Current:50A
Burst Current:70A
Running Mode:Forward with brake / Forward and reverse with brake / Forward and reverse
The price £13.86 each
Not a lot of money for good quality goods.
Back to the build.
The runing gear is fitted,and tested.
The deck fitted so just a small bit filling to do.

post plenty of build photos please it will help my mate,a novice builder build his?Although it is not Andys hull,but one bought from an e bay maker,my pals is very heavy so he will have to be careful to keep all the extra weight to a minimum,if he wants it to come up on the plane,like the real thing.Good luck with your build!

PS My order from Hobby King Hong Kong,I am still waiting for after 8 weeks,and still no sign of when they will get it in stock.Glad the GB branch does better,I will never use Hong Kong again!

re Hobbyking, a couple of years ago, had to wait 4 months for my order to be delivered, which like yours where out of stock.
keep waiting, they will arrive eventually.
And no haven't ordered anything from them again. Order all mine direct from factories now, not as single items though, in job lots, but still, its even cheaper than Hobby king

Why would you order and pay for out of stock good !!!!!!!!!!!!
Hobbyking has a stock arrival alert which sends you an email when its back in stock
I have never had a problem with hobbyking,but then i do not order out of stock goods.
The only time my good were held up was by H.M.Custom.
Hoping to try her on the water tomorrow.

when I ordered it showed as in stock, by the time the order was processed it was out of stock. There was a delay in updating the in/out of stock, by about 24 hours.
And yes they did email 4 months later to say it was back in stock, and that mine had been sent. Nothing in between though, not even an email to say my other items had been sent, but didn't include the one item. Only found out when I inquired after the missing item.
Their system may have changed since, don't know, don't care

Sorry to here you have not been lucky with hobbyking.
Myself i have had no problems with them.
Always good service.

Hi everyone,just finished painting the cabin,and combing.
Just the deck to paint,and then fit the windows.
All the filler work done looking good.
should have it all done next weekend.
I now use stone effect paint on my decks as this gives anti slip look,and then paint colour to suit.
I have found this is a good scale effect.
More next week.
