Very smart Jon, like the stable door - excellent idea. Are they fitting guttering? especially along the back between the workshop and dividing wall, just thinking how much water may end up sitting under the workshop floor.

Great minds think alike! My workshop also has a pitched roof, T+G walls, a stable door on one wall and an end door at one end. No Velux, though...  <:(

Is your wooden workshop sitting directly on that exposed concrete base? I am just thinking about water causing you some big problems later if it is.

It siting on tanlised (SP) supports which I'm assured is perfectly OK by numerous people.

LHS and rear wall maintainence might be a problem, roof pitched from back to front and sheeted with ribbed Aluminininium roof panels would have meant a single guttering to clean out of leaves (DAMHIK) on the easy side of the roof, and a more stable covering.

Indeed, as is cost and noise when it rains.

20' x 9' x 8' high.

So what will the first model build be LB?

It is planned to be the Stentor (1926) followed by Machaon (1959) @1/72, then HMS Caroline @ 1/48. However there are a number of others that need to be completed namely HMS Badsworth (Sirmar Hunt) and  SCHAARHÖRN @1/25. www.schaarhoern.de/english.php
