Hi every one
« on: July 27, 2012, 10:49:04 pm »

Hi all just joined tonight
i used to do model boats in the past but after a hiatus of 20 or so years im back into model boats
models i have done in the past are
tamiya 350 scale Bismark  and managed to shoehorn a 2ch into it lol
Billings Zwarte Zee 1st real rc ship and it was plank on frame ouch boy was that a learning curve
next was the billings Bankert but abs hull
did a couple of other plank on frame hullls that i swapped for gear etc learnt a lot from the Zwarte Zee
deans marines corvette that was the old abs hull not the later f/g 1 and i simulated the in / out plating with plasticard stuck to the hull and was done as a canadian rust bucket looked great till a cat knocked it off windowsill
got a trawler hull so built a ww2 convoy escort armed trawler
so
20 years later i got the Hobby Engine Southampton and a cheapy ready to run destroyer ( its by heng tia and is a quite accurate model of the Russian Sovremenny class
i will post in appropriate sections on them
thx for reading  :-))
