Hi
There are several more pics of this model, along with the Nelson, somewhere on this Forum, under scale ships. I built her from scratch from Norman Ough's plans and she is depicted after her refit after the Battle of the River Plate. She has revolving turrets (all four of them) and they will be made to fire next time she goes over to Tynemouth - live ammo
also, the torpedo tubes rotate courtesy of constant harassment by Riggers 'ah ya gotta make em turn and fire' bit small to fire though at 1/96 scale. She has 4 motors paired up port and starboard using a mixer through the sky sports 6X - this is where we had a lot of trouble in the beginning making this model turn - this is because I had the propellers turning inboard until a good photographer namely Bryan Young said to turn the props so they went outboard and for some reason, dont ask me why, it performs a lot better with the props outboard.
Some of the fittings e.g. lift rafts and a couple of the small oerlikon guns are from Sirmar and the lift boats are from Quaycraft.
She's a bit on the large side to take to the Mayhem weekend, but, if we have room in the car, will try and fit her in.

Colin, I was posting this the same time as you, and to answer your question, she is a plank on frame hull, covered with fibre glass and tissue.
