river barge pusher
« on: October 05, 2012, 12:30:26 pm »

I'm new here. Does anyone know where I could find the general dimensions of a barge pusher (like the ones seen on the Tn, Ms, and Oh rivers and owned by Ingram Barge). I would like build from scratch a scale model 2 to 3 feet long. Thanks!

Now then,... I prefer those little harbor tugs...  %)
I think Towboat Joe's is still the best place to find a lot of that info.
Other places to look are the towing companies themselves.
They will often list their fleet, and technical specs, or have a pdf for download.
Check under fleet or equipment...

Most of my familiarity would be with the Columbia River in the Pacific Northwest.

Is there someone filling the orders from towboatjoes website? I know it was down after he died for a while so just wondering if you really can order plans from the site I would like to build a few of his models as I knew him and ol river bill I really miss these guys.
