Challenger HT-2878 turning a toy into a model, almost.
« on: January 14, 2013, 04:57:10 am »

I know it is probably cheating but I bought one of those cheap Chinese model ships half expecting to throw it in the bin.
The price was so cheap I thought it was worth a look.
Out of the box it has no rudders and turns with the props. Worst of all it is far too fast.
So rip out the rubbish radio, fit some rudders and an ESC and away you go.
The model is ideal on a small pond or pool. The detail is ok and quite robust so it doesn't get knocked off easily, it is a kids toy after all.
