This is to be a national event for Wales. A model boat show that includes clubs from Wales and surrounding locations. We are here to promote the hobby and gain members for our respective clubs, starting with a one day event on June 15 2013
The Cardiff bay is well known for its yacht clubs and water sports, the Wetlands wildlife reserve and with mermaid quay waterfront, that includes a host of restaurants, the Wales Millennium centre as well as the welsh assembly building, the home of Dr Who, Torchwood and the new BBC studios.
The bay its self is fed from the rivers Taff and Ely so it is a fresh water lake, good news for model boaters, with use of a landing stage, making the launching of model boats simple,
Passes are required and will be sent out seven days before as access is via the Cardiff Barrage,
