As an ex MTMBC member I would love to go and support the show but it clashes with other interests. Beale Park is a great venue and if it was a 2 day or a Saturday show I might be more tempted but I wish the organisers a very succesful event.

Hi Everyone

The guys at the A Team Boatyard have rather beaten me to it with their announcement about this years Beale Park Model Boat Show on Sunday 5th May 2013.

The show will be will be run along similar lines to previous years......but in collaboration with the A Team Boatyard who will be starting their Big Thames Cruise from Beale Park on the Bank Holiday Monday.

So, you can expect to see:

  • A good selection of the UK's leading Model Boat Traders
  • The A Team Type 45 HMS Daring (15' 10" long!)
  • Tug Towing demos and opportunities to have a go
  • Fast Electric Demos (including the Mid Thames F600 class racers)
  • Scale boats of all types and sizes
  • Yachts
  • Steam
  • A Bring & Buy stall (small sellers commision payable to the charities)
  • Kids 'Have A GO Tugs'
The Mid Thames Model Boat Club will be taking care of all visiting Clubs applications for up to 10 free admissions as usual. Clubs will need to bring all their own equipment with them as in recent years: Gazebos, Tables Chairs etc.

We are expecting a large number of Traders to be exhibiting in the Beale Park Centre Building. All Trader enquiries should be addressed initially to the A Team Boatyard.

There will be free overnight camping available for visiting Clubs & Traders but spaces must be prereserved via the Mid Thames Model Boat Club.

Hi Guys,
I am sorry to tell you that as my health in the last few days has got a lot worse I will not be able to attend the show at Beale Park. My intention was to get there and have the friends who all have offered to unload the van and set the stand up bless them but now my heart condition has got worse it would be foolish to excert it too much.
So I will only be doing the normal mail order and of course the internet shop for now. So if you were going to buy from us at the show, why not ring/email or order from our on-line shop  - we are still very much in business and we await your orders.
Have a really good show.
