Monitor M15 hull bought at Ellesmere Port show
« on: March 04, 2013, 11:45:22 pm »

Whilst at the Ellesmere Port show, a pile of cash accidentally fell out of my pocket, and an M15 hull, plans and moldings set accidentally fell on to the back seat of my car ( that's what I told them indoors anyway ) Also got some shafts, motors etc and a few fittings (WT Doors, deck scuttles bollards, and so on). Oh, and some snazzy glues from the Starlock man. So, all ready to go when the African Queen is finished, the Model Boats back issues are ordered, and the A frames on the way from Propshop. I have been trawling the web but have been unable to find a  1/48th scale 12 pdr ha/la gun and a Hotchkiss 6 pdr QF Can anyone offer any suggestions as to possible suppliers? I have looked at Sirmar, Fleetscale etc but cant seem to navigate my way to their fittings pages, where there may be complete listings of their fittings, I only seem to get small selections. I saw an article about  an new supplier of WW1 ere torpedo boats in 1/48th scale he has 2 boats so far, a WW1 German torpedo, boat with a rather striking black colour scheme, and a British TBD. Can any one enlighten me as I cant find any info as I have forgotten the name of his website.
Many thanks in advance,
Nick.

I think you are referring to Steve Pickering at http://www.chyldshallmodelshipyard.com/

Good luck with M15, I've always fancied a model of this ship myself. Look forward to seeing build progress.

A pie or two may be inhaled during the build process, along with steaming mugs of extra strong tea....... %) %) %)

PONick,

Will be interested to see how you get on with this. I have a hull and running gear, radio etc waiting in my workshop too. Must just finish that 1:48 corvette. And the 1:72 version too! Good luck with the project.
