Deffo aerokits, Howard.........but the plans for sale on ebay are a hefty price, if you only need plans.......they include all templates, but as aerokits are being sold by Jotika/Caldercraft it's a bone of contention, copyright wise anyway.

I'm sure someone on here might have a set for a lot cheaper.

Hi Howard
les rowell aka lesro produced the Aerokit range in the 1950.
In 1981 the Firth family bought lesro coy and moved the shop to christchurch where they currently sell 12 aerokit  kit assembly plans
and 6 Aerokit full kits c/w fitts.
In 1997 Aerokits were bought by Andrew fairly from Portsmouth which is when I first came across their catalogue.  They disappeared
soon after only to resurface in the last 2/3 years when Jotika came out with the Sea Queen.  After that there was a rash of Aerokit boats appearing on Flea- bay.
Kitshack produce the 34in crash tender but no fittings are supplied.
The vintage model boat coy produce the 6 Aerokit models that lesro sell possibly under license from lesro.
Out of a range of 24 models only 8 of the Aerokit range have re-surfaced with only the crashtender in the scale model range having been
re-kitted no Solent, waveny, PT boat or trawler.  Models by Design have a GRP 48in  solent hull cabin & fittings and if you want the   46 in crashtender kingston mouldings do a GRP hull.
As neil says its a bit of a grey area who owns what.

A Huge thank you to all you guys and I now have the boat, lets say its very basic almost every thing is made of wood so will want to refurbish it. Big question now is plans,
Not sure which way to go RNLI plans may be no good I think as are thay mk1 as my boat is one of only three mk2 boats if am right, would realy like to remake a lot in plastic where I can and model by design done a white metal fitting kit £115 so think that will be on my list( please has anyone used it and if so whats it like) but if anyone has anythink thay no longer need that thay think would be a help to me then please get in touch I realy would be most grateful.
                               Regards Howard.

Hi Howard, the first 8 solents  were mark one with sliding wheel house doors   The last 3 had hinged wheel house doors that opened outwards. So you can tell which your model Solent is.
Regarding RNLI boat plans, those available can be viewed/browsed through www.rnlishop.org.uk
Lastly I have available about 20 photographs of the last Solent to be built actually on the water Douglas Currie, are you interested in them?
