trim control help needed
« on: April 18, 2014, 09:09:14 pm »

Hi All
As a newbie, I think I may have done something I shouldn't have.
I have an old Futaba T6x converted to 2.4ghz with a Frsky hack, and a new Frsky receiver all purchased from ebay.
All were functioning as it should, but today the sail trim slider has failed, It may be electro /mechanical or worst it may be suffering from idiots finger. If It is the later, what have I done, and how do I fix it please.

What switch/slider are we exactly talking about here?

Is it a proportional control up near the top 'shoulders of the TX?

Or…

Are we talking about the switches immediately adjacent to each stick axis?

Either way my money's on mechanical failure really - whip out the four screws out of the back of the transmitter and gently ease the two halves apart without straining any wires. You may be able to see if a wire has come adrift behind the control concerned.

Hi Robert
Thank you for your reply. It is the rudder trim (sail trim the way I use it) immediately below the left stick.
I will have to look inside.
