Hi there. Recent addition to the Model Boating. I have been using pre built ships for a while now, but have decided to take it upon myself to build my own. HOWEVER, i am currently having trouble with setting up my motor system with a remote that i currently have in my possession. The Remote in question is a MJX R/C GR129 2.4GHz 4Ch transmitter. The reciever i currently have is a 2 wire motor control. This is incompatible with the 3 wire system that i plan to set up. Is there currently any available 4 channel 2.4GHz recievers available that would infact be compatible with this transmitter.


ALSO, i have a DEVO 4 transmitter that i purchased recently. The seller unfortunately did not provide me with an information booklet or manual regarding its operation. I have had a real struggle trying to find any information, even resorting to contacting the manufacturer, which was to no avail. If anybody has purchased this controller previously or has any information concerning this transmitter, it would be wholly appreciated.

Hi welcome to the madhouse so to speak I have googled both sets and it seems they dont do a manual for the Devo 4 only the 7 ....Personally I wouldnt bother with either of these sets as I can bet my bottom doller they are rather low powered sets....you are far better getting a proper set up like the planet T5 or similar which will work with Esc and servos without any hassle......A Mdoel world seels these 01606891999 ask for Mark

Welcome aboard.  Like Dave, I haven't heard of these sets either, but in the world of 2.4GHz there is precious little compatibility across makes between transmitters and receivers.  To work, a receiver has to bind with its transmitter before it can pass information on to its associated ESC and servo.
2 wire and 3 wire?  At a guess you have a speed control for a brushed motor, but are intending to use a brushless motor.  Since a brushess motor is only half a device, it needs the correct "other half" in its ESC to have any chance of working, so a different ESC to plug into the receiver.

Apparantly Malcolm these sets are used on Helicopters the ones that you buy and are ready to go !
