Literally just spent £15 on perspex yesterday, just my luck. Ah well it's less stuff to try and jam back in the car afterwards!

NB: If you want to sell stuff ( private ), your more than welcome to bring it along & try your luck!

There's usually a sale table in the 'bus stop' or Klunk might even put it on his table for you.... for a small consideration!
( Make sure it CLEARLY price & has your name on it. )

Nick, is Wicksteed MBC putting on a Tombola this year?

Well Mr Klunk has just been round to collect all my stuff in the van, took about an hour's worth of Tetris but somehow it's all in there. There is once again a flotilla of boats for the bring and buy %)

Hi Dave

You’re not missing anything so you’re sane there.

Essentially you turn up to the main gate at Wicksteed Park where you get a parking ticket from the machine. The machine issues the ticket and raises the barrier. You follow the road around to the right and keep following it until you see a kind of a three way junction- you’ll see the campsite to your right-don’t go in to the campsite but turn left and follow the road into a field where you’ll see the car park. There will be Mayhem signs up to follow.
The car park fee is something we can’t get any discount on because it’s so variable. Essentially the maximum you’ll pay is £6 which is for all day parking, and for less time there are lower parking fees going down to free for 20 minutes! To pay for the ticket when you come to leave you have to go to the main complex which you’ll pass on your way out. There are three machine or you can pay in reception. And finally you present your ticket to the exit gate machine and it’ll let you out.
It’s changed a lot in the last few years as we used to have to pay £6 regardless if you were there for five minutes or all day and on the old system it was easier to set up a discount on it. The new one is fairer for everyone as it has ranges going from free to £6.
Hope this helps.
How does this work arriving Friday leaving Monday? Thanks

Hi Andy

When you go the reception you will be issued a car pass which lasts for the amount of time you are booked in for as a camper allowing you in and out of the park at anytime. It’s like a credit card with a chip in it and it’ll expire on your final day at a certain time- the reception staff should say when.
Hope this helps.

Oh just for reference for everyone

The main reception is is the main complex of building (not the wooden conservatory) and looking at Martin’s map on his earlier post it is directly below the clock tower on the biggest building on the map next to the tag Laser Xtreme. When you enter the park, you can pull up next to the wooden fence in front of the climbing tower and walk in to the main complex to get to reception. All the tickets and car passes are issue there.

Thanks Nick
I think it likely best to head straight for the camping field to avoid causing congestion then walk to reception
