im meeting someone influential within the model boat trade this Friday for the first time. should i wear club shirt etc, smart casual or go dressed as a penguin?

Smart casual, clean and pressed. Getting suited up may seem like you are trying to hard. If you wear a club shirt, then Chinos if you have them is a good combination. Shoes, not trainers.

Smart casual is best I agree, but anyone from the model boating community may not recognise Pete without his famous Biggles head gear.

well. a small update. all is going well. i decided on wearing warm clothing as its hovering about 5 degrees c. all secret squirrel stuff at the moment!
