New 40" Vee / A class build

Iv designed and built this hull specifically to race in A class due to very few available hulls that are available
Looking forward to molding 1st hull

Sanded pattern coat primer and now gloss coat ready to wetsand and polish before making the molds  :-)) :-))

Update  :} Molds are made and started molding hulls
This 1 is full carbon kevlar hand layup and finished in this stunning colour which has been trimmed, wetsanded and polished

That looks pretty darn quick!


 :D  lol that better I couldn't work out how to do it on my phone
Runs really good and  smooth plus still room to prop up and play round with pipe length

I have the plans for a Schiada SS20 and a Ski Vee 40 and while I will be building them with wood initially I want to make a mold off one of them.
How wide do you normally leave the flange ?
Do you use a layer of veil over the gel coat?
Have you used Aramid or Aramid/Carbon cloth?
Once you have the hull out of the mold do you add structural pieces for overall strength as well as mounting points?


Hoping to get at least some of the high quality you produce.
