Hi
I am working on a 'dead' AT standard Bait Boat and the receiver and battery are both dead.
The original receiver has their own board which is an addon to an Acoms 2 channel 27 Meg receiver which is how they acheive the differential thrust etc.
I got 2x ESCs from Amazon and an FS CT6B RC transmitter with a 6 channel receiver.
After wiring each pump to the ESC, I have managed to configure the differential thrust settings for the forward thrust but reverse mode is acheived by the centre pump.
It appears that the original reason for failure has been water inside the hull. This model has a drain hole but a few people have said these boats will let in a few litres of water and should be drained after each run.
I will need to check the hoses and test this boat in the bath before installing any new kit in this one and ensure there is no water getting in.
Also these new ESCs are fan cooled so I will have to create a dry area using an adapted lunch box or something similar.
This model is very fast for a bait boat but they always seem to become troublesome after a year or 2.
