I'm hearing rumours that Dave Sambrook has passed away, he of Greenwich maritime Models, Model boats etc., has passed away. Can anyone confirm this?

I have not heard anything myself but we did not get the usual card from France at Christmas and the previous year there was a note from Jean to the effect that Dave was not very well. I believe he may have had a stroke and she said he had suffered a bad fall with head injury and was not himself.

I spoke to Steve Kirby at the Haydock event today. Dave Sambrook passed away from dementia a year or so back.
Sad loss to model boating for those that remember.
