These are indeed dark arts. 
The FS-i6 may be sophisticated kit but the instruction manual? Not for an old Noob?


Would someone who can make one of these obey please give me a solution to my latest problem?


I have managed successfully to re-bind the Tx to my DF95 without making it smoke like my DF65 did. All well here.


When I try to add another FS Rx (aiming to resurrect the DF65) it seems to overwrite the information previously stored for the 95 in the Tx? Have tried a few times.
A solution please, what am I missing?

Sounds like you are using the same model memory
and rewriting the settings. Try model 2 for the 65,
Assuming you use memory 1 for the 95.
Sounds to be the problem.

Thanks Ned, sounds like it, how would I alter it, no instructions found yet telling how? After seemingly frying the 65 winches initially I'm a bit reluctant to proceed by trial and error.


Need line by line sadly.

That was me surmising the model memory works
in a similar way to other makes of programmable radios. Mine are Spektrum, so you need a member
with the same as yours to come up with the step
by step instructions. Did you download the Instructions quoted by Dave S?

Firstly, If both your models are setup the same way - that is the rudder and sailwinch operate the same, then you don't really need to do anything else. The Transmitter will talk to whichever Receiver is switched on, or in fact to both if both are switched on   You bind the Receiver to the Transmitter, not to the model. Once bound, then it stays bound unless you bind it to a different Transmitter.

If you do need to set the servo reverse for one or more channels, then this is the procedure.

To change model in FlySky (Turnigy) i6 Tx
Press OK to bring up the Menu
Press OK again to Enter the set up
Press OK again to select ‘Model Select’
The last model you programmed is Model 1
Press the ‘UP’ button to move to Model 2
Now set this up as you did for Model 1
NOTE NOTE NOTE to save the settings use the Cancel button to exit.- I know not very intuitive
I do have a Turnigy Manual for this set, but its not very clear and written for aircraft and Helis. The Model Programming sequence is not spelt out

Thanks for all the help again guys, sorted now.


Moral of the story don't try to bind a Joysway Rx to a Flysky Tx, it cooked both my 65 winches.
New winches now fitted to DF65 and ready to sail.




DF 95 also ready to sail.


I found the way to proceed was to create a different model number on the Tx then with that channel open bind the relevant Rx to that model number. As said was overwriting before.

Yep, that's the way I always do it, new model, new model memory and receiver bound to that memory number, can't really go wrong then (so long as you remember to change to the right model before adjusting anything or sailing).
