Wonderful little motors, the Imp and its variants, I've had six of them at various times, including a Husky, which was the last one. Most of them had tuned engines, and the Husky ended up with a 990 cc version, it was lots easier to work on than that the standard car, just lift out the boot floor.
My first Imp had a Rallye Imp fuel tank (in the front of course) and it was a 10 gall tank which filled the original boot space totally!
I worked for the firm that made Imp body shells, Pressed Steel, and we did all the testing for them, including a rig to test those cursed rear window locks. I hate to think how many of them I've fitted and re-fitted in my life.
