Hi guys, I know someone out there will be able to tell me. Where do you wire the magnetic switch in the circuit?
It has a servo lead wired to it and a servo male plug on the circuit
Which end goes where.

Sounds like one end goes in the batt socket on the receiver, and the other end in the socket on a standard reciever battery pack. The switch is then working like any other, except it's a reed switch operated by a magnet.

I must ask what are you using it for? as what you have described,  seems to me to only turn on the TX.


I am old school and I would not use a reed switch at any time, I only say this as over time the reed switch could become magnetized therefore staying in the "ON" position, also you would have to fix the magnet some how to stop it moving and braking the circuit at the wrong time.

The reed, instead tactile swich, will be a trigger for an ON/OFF latch circuit & drawing microamps until latched ON.

Hi Fred, the switch is a magnetic latching switch, you move the magnet over it left to right to switch on / latch power to Rx.

Then right to left to unlatch and switch power to Rx off


I knew nothing about model subs.till a friend asked if I could get his sub working for him.
I now know they have a magnetic switch to power up the Rx, levellers that should work with dive vanes
Tank cylinder piston gearboxes piston control units, rudder servos,vane servos, limit switches,fuses
Twin ESCs and a Messed up Tx.
I am glad to say I did the repairs and alterations needed to get the boat working as it should again after a lot of wire
Tracing and continuity testing. Never again.

I don’t think you will get away with not working on the sub, it will need fine tuning.
Weather permitting I will see you Sunday if you go down to the lake.
