Like this kit, a jig to build the hull and everything clicks together. Had a look for other builds but most pics were too small and unable to zoom in . The recommended glue is ace. Just a rub with a file will tidy up all the little high bits .

I suspect it is the Aeronaut kit - chap in our club has/had one (not seen hims for a while).

Going to use the scrap ABS to beef up the joints and the Stabilit for all the curves. Any gaps ( leaks ) where the extra ABS is used can be filled with the Stabbilit

After using the spare ABS off the Lazer cut sheets to add a bit more strength to the glued hull skin . Have most of the templates if I wanted to build another hull out of wood.

Loaded down with lead and lipos ,3rd time and it's dry

Think I should just post up the occasional update, all the other pilot boat builds just decided to stop midway. Must be the Plastic and Lego building method as very few were interested. Gave it a sail up at Richmond park model boat club , brushless and 2 sails with 2and 3s lipos. Was going to add a bow thruster but it's not needed, manoeuvres well.

I found it a very good build, I just my do another one at some time.

A couple of changes , ABS bits of scrap from the sheet leftovers to beef up the motor mounts and turn the fixings round to make it easy to remove and refit the brushless motors. The instructions show the rudder levers with the grub screws rear facing,not a good place if rudder needs replacing changed them around for easy access if required.. Fitted some windows, easy to fit and best of all a snug fit before using the canopy glue.

Soldered up the roof searchlight, should have made a little jig to secure the handles and clips. First attempt to made it fully functional, need a small servo for the elevation as it will be easier to set limits. Small geared motor for 360 rotation, will change the geared motor after a test to see if the worm drive is ok.

Searchlight test, very noisy but that's due to the gears winding up the led cables  Managed to save the cables, lucky it was only 6v instead of 11.4 v . Once the roof is on the cabin cables will drop straight down and clear the gears.https://youtu.be/zrjGJVwTAYc?si=OvMMRp8X2_BCZDsQChanged the worm drive to servo as it was too much work trying to make a slide to disengage the elevation worm gear when rotating the light.
