Martin a good morning,
I am the vice-president of the KMYCA( royal model yacht club Antwerp - https://www.kmyca.be/ ) and in 1925 we exist 125 years.
I'm just curious if there are any clubs which are as old or older than we are. Afterwards i will make a list  of all the clubs which are as old or older than ourselves.
Could you help me out on this one?

South Shields model yacht club has been around longer than Coronation Street on Television. 1886 and when they used to go there they used to wear top hat, collar and tie - it was like that until about 1965 I recall - they were always well dressed.

Dundee MBC are celebrating 140 years in 2025.

Formed in 1885 as the Dundee Model Yacht Club then became the Model Yacht and Power Boat Club when more members ran power boats then finally to Dundee Model Boat Club. This has been a continuous existence with no gaps due to the two wars.

.... the story goes, during the 2nd World War, Hitler knew that there was such a brilliant set of modellers in South Shields, especially in the model yacht club, he decided to send one of his bombers over to bomb the model club and blow a bloody big hole in the lake as well.
