Radiomaster Transmitters
« on: February 11, 2025, 06:02:36 pm »

Hi

Anyone using an Radiomaster transmitter - I have recent purchased a Radiomaster TX16S - mainly because it supports many different types of receivers. It uses Edge Tx - got version 2.10.6 on it. Having terrible problems with it loosing settings and not keeping data correctly.

Raised a call with their Tech support on the 23 Jan to be told they are closed for Chinese new year till the 16th Feb !!!

Anyone else having problems with Edge Tx

99% of all problems like you describe can be solved by throwing away the crappy micro-sd card the radios ship with, and replace it with a high quality (Samsung, SanDisk, Kingston) name brand card, and reinstall new software downloaded from the EdgeTX website.

Already replaced the SD card in the Ttansmitter - it was my first thought, also a colleague with the same transmitter is experiencing exactly the same issue

Next thing to try is to replace the "Real Time Clock" coin battery on the main board.

When you say "edge companion has never worked" state exactly what brand/make/model computer and OS you are using, as well as what you mean by "never worked".  I ask because my edgetx companion installation on ubuntu 22.04 has always worked with the zorro (two of them), tx16s, tx12, pocket and mt12 (two of them) i own, as well as the frsky qx7 i have installed it on.
