Title: Orange Tx6i Full range
Post by: Captain Flack on August 30, 2019, 04:44:03 pm
Can anyone explain how to bind the rx to the tx with the throttle stick at mid point.  Whenever I try it just comes up with "return all sticks to this or that position etc" and therefore can subsequently bind only at what would be "full astern".   Having done this and lost a boat previously I am reluctant (to say the very least) to do this again.

I believe this is a Spectrum clone so this behaviour is normal for it. It is basically an aircraft set which sets a failsafe for the throttle on binding. For aircraft this is with the throttle at idle ( fully down) so loss of signal at the receiver will cut the throttle and stop a fly away. Unfortunately for boat use with a forward & reverse esc failsafe is full reverse and is not changeable.

My DX6 doesn't do it as you can disable/enable the level at which these alarms come in.   I think I have achieved it however, by binding through the model set up screen, and not on "start up".

DX6i has failsafe inhibit somewhere deep in the programming.
