 Hi there , continued on from earlier post .Finished off the American shrimp trawler yesterday "Desco-Lady" , 3,190 parts, Hrs ???, would like to thank Kevin Rasmussen who supplied the Beech timber s, Bruce Harrison printed off the water slide decals, Neville Smith that sent me veneer sheets of Tasmanian timbers a few years ago which the main part of the w-house doors are of Huon Pine and the trimming on the doors are of Burmese teak which came off Terry & Elaine McCarroll's yacht, and also Red Cedar (transom) from Stuart Cribb (thanks guys). she weighs in at 12.7 Kg  ( not including battery or Ballast). Weather permitting will launch her this coming Sunday at the Ballina Marine model club...... cheers

Hi there, thank you for your comments Paul & Mark ....Well launched her on Sunday at our Model Club morning at Ballina ,turned out to be a nice morning ,compared to previous days, water still muddy from all the rain but never less a good morning for the launch of the Yankee  shrimper "Desco-Lady" . My good neighbour  Bez drove her for me while I took photo's and video footage of her. Very pleased with the way she performed , her ballast consist of 4 KG 12 V battery and 2 blocks of lead totaling 2.6 Kg , on her next run may put another Kg of lead in her, cheers  .....

Hi BB, I am not keen on modern fishing boats but DEsco... is superb!!!  Lovely detail and the photography is so good.

Hi Roy, As you will see the internal running gear on my models are very very basic ,no fancy wiring ,as long as it go's .cheers
