hello .
it might be possible.
1st you need to measure the range of the pots on the DX6. then do the same for the F14 twin stick unit. if the reading are the same then the first hurdle crossed. If not you could be looking at pot swapping . Be very careful here as pot might be glue in and different size
2nd will it physically fit.

Hi Ian

I had the same idea earlier in the summer after reading the article in Model Boat Magazine. I contacted the author about my Futaba transmitter being changed, the basic was no, he did it with a planet 6 which when well but other types are much harder

if physical size is a limiting factor why not look at recasing the component parts into a new larger case ? i had an old futaba M series which we altered years before the introduction of 2.4 ghz

Hi Mate

Its not the size of the transmitter case its the pots??? they don't match???

As you gather I'm not into electronics, just passing on the info i was given.

Trying to contact our club guru about this, the sticks are about £120.00 to buy so this starts getting expensive

sorry guys . i forgot about this post .
i did it . and it fitted 99% perfectly ! minor use of a file to get the twin stick unit to fit ..... but yes there was a bit of twiddling to do . i had to change the pots over . but it did work in the end .... but i simply did this just to see if it could be done . and the answer is yes !  . the twin stick pots and the dx6i pots have different values . so had to swap pots over . not the end of the world .. bit of super glue and a good dollop of hot glue . and it was done !
i did do a small video and some pics on facebook . ill have to see if i can find it !
