2. Inside the box...

Well now that we have the kit, let me show what you get for your money.

The box is very heavy and protects the kit very well - 10 -10.

Of course the first thing you dig out is the hull.... and what a lovely hull it is. 10 - 10.

Here's a few more detail photos.....

There are a few imperfection in the hull but this will act to the character to the boat... Puffer were never perfect boats, even out of the show room!

Lots of other bits and pieces are packed in the hull including a very heavy box of white metal fittings. Some other bits completely befuddled me!......

There is this nice springy coil of wire, some green felt... for the hatch or boat cover I guess..... must check the materials listing.

2 hanks of cord, 2 plastic tubes, a sweet wrapped in foil, short prop shaft and a bag of real coal.......... "A sweet wrapped in foil?!?!?!"

It's not a sweet.... dunno what it is, we'll find out in the fullness of time.... I hope.

This must be the funnel strangely made by WICKES DIY 34mm water pipe. Hmmmm....

Looking at the box of white metal fittings now....

.... there an awful lot of stuff in there...

... including a rather short prop shaft with plastic bearings 2-10!
Rudder 10 -10 &
Scale-ish prop 5- 10

The jolly boat is a nice moulding and will save a lot of work during the build. 9- 10

This is the main superstructure / cabin / work space thing, very substantial! 8-10.

The wood looks good and there's lots of it.

  ..Lots and lots of
     wood !

You also get a full size layout plan...

..plans, an colour advertising flyer, a hand written complement stapled to the receipt.

The instruction book is quite impressive on first glance....

.. Good detail
      drawings.

With everything safely packed away let now have a look at the electrics.

Well all this just my opinion, but what do I know!
