From  the DEANS MARINE TEAM.

Dear  MODELLERS

Following the success of our open days help last year, and taking on board the suggestions from  visitors we have added a new  event to the season.  We have had  requests from modellers and the general public to continue with the modelling demonstrations / workshops and  open our showroom / shop and spares dept to  modellers and the public.

SHOWROOM DAYS
These weekend events will be held at the works in Conquest Drove, Farcet Fen, Peterbourough, England, PE7 3DH, the first of these events will be on the 23-24th April 2005.  [MAP]
ENTRY FREE!

THIS SHOW  IS FOR ALL MODEL BOATERS, NOT JUST DEANS MARINE CUSTOMERS,
as we hope to see plenty of our customers models on display for showing and the swapping of ideas.

There will be a display of the new models that may be added to our range in the coming year so you may see and discuss the prototypes with the designers and have a "hands on" look at the new projects.
We will also have a display of all the models added to the range in 2004 in case you missed any.

The showroom will be open with a large selection of  completed models from our range on display. There will be  a  range of our kits available for inspection, so if you wish to see and study the contents of any particular kit, we can open the box and show you around the contents and answer any technical questions you may have.

The Factory shop will be open to modellers and the wide range accessories we carry will be on display where you can purchase the hard to find small parts that you may require, and study the wide selection of alternatives accessories that we produce such as motors, couplings, props and detailing accessories. An experienced modeller will be on hand to give any advice of parts and uses.

The mould store will be open with a selection of hulls from the MOULDEANS range available for inspection plus a sale of reject / damaged hulls from our store (the items are only available for purchase in person at the show)

We found that the model building demonstrations were one of the most popular items of the shows, so these "workshops" where you can see models being constructed, possibly learn some new "tricks", ask for advice, and problem solving will be expanded to cover a wider range of subjects.

Tours of the factory, demonstrations on kit design and production, were very successful, so these will be held again. Action videos of our models being tested, and demonstrations of model boat kit design and production at specific times.

The small test pond will be filled and available for any modeller wishing to have sail or test his model in safe and secure waters.

There will be a large undercover marquee area should the weather turn inclement
The works cafe will be open for hot & cold drinks and hot soups and snacks.

There will be a Perennial Plants direct  plant / flower stall at the show for those interested in gardening and flower things.

 The dates for 2005  days are   23rd / 24th APRIL 2005    Opening times are 10am - 5pm.

There is no charge for entry.
Donation boxes to the chosen charities will be around.  All proceeds will be to local charities.

Thank you for taking the interest to read this far, for further details please visit our website at http://www.deansmarine.co.uk/

Happy boating   from the    Deans Marine team
