The Cooney is 52 inches in length (hull) scratch built from
plans from Howard Chapelles  American Fishing Schooners.
She is plank on frames. Cedar planks on teak frames and keel.
Teak decks and bulwarks. I made her slightly deeper to accommodate
a heavy lead keel so she sails to her marks without a keel extension.
She retains a nice underwater shape. The topmasts slide down to
make her transportable in my ute. All paints and varnishes are matt.
I have since built Teazer which I think sails better with cotton sails.
The brilliant photos are by my  good friend Alistair Reynolds.
