Not my sort of thing or field, but I always respect the craftmanship to make and put such things together - as I do with any skilled craftsman that can do things I can't do!
There is a fast-track route to value if you are wanting to sell. Pu it on eBay for £1000 and see what happens. If it doesn't sell, reduce by £50 or £100 each entry until it finds it's level.
As someone else said, you can always take it around to a couple of reputable antique dealers - and maybe an auctioneer as a second/third opinion.
Only just seen your Topic as was in hosp. all last week (Sat-Sat). Hope you get a good price for them if you decide to sell.
