When I modified this model I found that the margin for topweight is quite small- so you might be better with the Deans resin pom pom than the white metal one.
However- must agree that the Haynes fittings are the best- have used them on other models and the quality if superb. The 0.5 in MGs look great.
Hope this is of help,
James

well after careful thinking . dog attack't the deck so me an my father have scrap't the deck and replacing it with 2mm marine ply wood . the hole deck will remove instead of those tiny little excase hatchs. the hole deck will be held in with 10 tiny magnets. i know the top is going to be abit more heavy .but not by much . but ive  been thinking of i will  have to put a tiny bit more lead in the bottom of the boat to weigh it down just a little more.

the battery im going to run a 8 cell battery but at the 4.2v for both motors. the reciver is mirco

one standered servo
one speaker kit an module
 one reciver battey .
one speed controller viper 20amp
so its all good im hoping i have it right . but ill find out in all good time
