electronize Electronic Switcher Type 48B - 4W
« on: July 25, 2022, 10:32:25 pm »

I am pretty sure I did get this for a reason !!!

Have a tidy up in the loft , you know move box from one side to the other always looks better, and came across this and when I got it I obviously thought I needed it for something, why I purchased build it your self option I am not sure about..  Anyway here are some pretty pictures..

If anyone has a built one I would appreciate it if they could post a picture of the inwards..

I will probably have a go at this just for the fun of it !! %% %%

hi there

This is going to cost you 10 trillion trillions for this antique circuit diagram and assembly instructions  {-) {-)

If you cannot make it out - send me a personal message with your postal address - and I will send you a copy in the post :-)

Hi looks an interesting unit.  Sorry to be thick but how is it operated from the Tx?

I have some circuitry for using the top and lower extremes of say the rudder where you pulse along to select the relay and the other end of travel to cancel.  They work very nicely as I added in red leds to show which relay was called, no covers of course.  This circuit was designed to extend a 2 ch. combo.  It was in an old edition of Int. Marine Modelling magazine, Feb 1989.

Good gear years ago but by today's standards it like a brick. Having said that along with the range of E S C  for the time it was excellent. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Hi Roy, I am assuming from the 3 wires to the bottom of the circuit board which connect to a receiver, 1 channel I think operates 4 functions.

Hi TLB fine, but is it positional or pulsed as part of a sequence through the relays..  Do the relays stay called or what.  How would you know where you are in the sequence from the bankside?

Hi Roy, No idea.. %%

Quickly looking at the instructions there is another sheet not shown above, this shows the operation, will scan and post later unless John has it to hand and could add it to his post .

Hi ya

10 trillion rubels - nar - how about tea leaves or rice crispies - I like Rice Crispies hahah  {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)

for 10 trillion more.....I will find you the other diagram showing the operation on the single channel and don't forget these are NOT latching relays.

 - so - in other words they are switched on 'when the stick on the TX is held in one position' and as soon as the stick has been moved - it will switch OFF.

Now for a picture of the internals :-)   picture will cost you a further trillion ricicles ...... on the way :-) but just going to Ali Baba's cave to find the unit.  I will open it up and take the pic with the Box Brownie  - this will take a bit of time on the old sun dial....

If you use this unit on a retract switch or a toggle switch you can make it a latching unit.

Don't overlook the fact there are 4 relays there I would tink they work independently.

hi there, I will not repeat what Ali Baba said to me when I made a mess of the cave.   Anyway, I don't think Mayhem would allow me to type it :-)

Anyway, with regard the latching and switching which has been mentioned - the toggle switch would only possibly work on the 2 relay version of this unit.  But, the rotary control on some transmitters (normally channel 6 would possibly work ) switching them on and off.   It is all to do with pulse widths, as they say.
