so now add up both coloums each with their total
an now this is weird as what answer would you give ?

I’ve seen this riddle before and it’s something to do with balance and expenditure are not equal and can never be.

Its rather like counting your fingers - okay count them 1 to 10


Now count backwards 10, 9, 8,7,6.


Okay so 6 plus 4 = 10


So on the other hand count 1, 2, 3, 4 so that = 4 and 4 and 6 = 10 but you have one finger left over!!

There is no reason why the right hand column should ever equal the left hand column. 

Try spending £1 at a time on this idea and you realise there is no reason why at all, it is something you get talked into.  The catch is 'you got caught'.
