Roy Cross
« on: May 27, 2024, 03:38:17 pm »

Roy Cross, best known for his Airfix box art, has died on the day after his 100th birthday. He began his career as a technical illustrator at Fairey Aviation before moving on to his more colourful work for Airfix. When that dried up in the 1970s, he became a noted and successful marine artist and book illustrator. Full obituary in the Daily Telegraph.

But it keeps 'em on the knife.

Most sources give his decease as occurring on April 24th of this year. Good to see all those wonderful box tops again, though.
